Martial Arts Profile

Chakra V Silat – Branch Manager

Based in Surabaya, Dr Hadi studied under the tutleage of a Pendekar named Mas Mochamed Amin. After several considerations Mas Mochamad Amien has then redesigned the paradigm that he had held closely beforehand (sports silat), in accordance to the swift techniques of Chakra-V .

Upon completing the intensive stint in Surabaya for some years and then Meeting Mas Amien again in Singapore, Dr Hadi is now bestowed the title "Instruktur utama". He iscurrently leading a class of students for self defence.

Dr Hadinata aspires to be one of the few Singaporeans of Indonesian heritage to impart and pass on this to the next generation. He also hope to bridge the cultural gap between Singaporeans and Indonesians in Singapore through the appreciation of Martial arts.

Silat-FMA (Filipino Boxing/Penantukan) – Member, Seminar Facilitator
Upon exposure to the art by a few of his teachers in Arnis/Kali/Eskrima from kapatirang Doble Olisi, Dr Hadi was impressed by the flexibility of FMA's (Filipino martial Arts) Penantukan and thereon devised a system of combinining silat and FMA. He saw the potential of this system : People do not need to take longer time to learn Self Defence. This module is an add on to the Silat class he is teaching and serves to be is non traditional and feels that it can be a good initiative for ASEAN martial arts awareness.
Teaching Stratergy

TACTICAL SILAT - the new wave in studying silat

Tactical in lexicon meaning translate to something relating to or constituting actions carefully planned to gain a specific end. On this basis, the name was chosen as a blueprint. Tactical silat has the student in mind as not many are still very good in silat applications despite learning traditionally under a teacher for a long time. This combination of Silat and Kali proved to be suitable for adults who are off from training for a long time.

Tactical Silat is also suitable for new learners as it combines the psychomotor training with martial arts. For certain segments of the community and different student profile, the teachings funneled to simpler lessons using games and martial arts to ingrain meaningful concept like awareness and flexibility. We understand that not everyone wants to be a professional martial artist.

NLP as a Foundation of teaching

Being a Practitioner of NLP and an ACTA certified trainer has helped Dr Hadi understand the dynamics of human interaction and learning. In his lessons he has succesfully deployed a few NLP techniques to make learning easier for Adult Students.

Martial Arts as a character building activity
Dr Hadi believes in the cultural similarities held by both Indonesian Silat and Filipino Eskrima can serve as a bridge between both ASEAN countries. Other than teaching the Indonesian and some Filipino Domestic Workers, he also had a team of Singaporean team actively training on a separate days. Dr Hadi intends to expand his reach to Institutions.
